What is the Mayors Wellness Campaign?

The mission of the Mayors Wellness Campaign is to equip mayors and other key leaders with the tools to develop and implement active-living initiatives in their communities with the ultimate goal of improving health and reducing the skyrocketing health care costs that come with the obesity problem in New Jersey.

Operation Reassurance

Operation Reassurance is a program available to Belmar/Lake Como Residents who live alone or are home with one or more disabled or handicapped persons.

The participants are responsible to call the police department every morning between 9am and 11am. If a phone call is not made by the participant the police will try to contact them. If there is no answer at the residence they will dispatch an officer to the house to check on them.
